Business Program Lead (f/m/d) for MES@SE

A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Business Program Lead specializing in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SAP DM (Digital Manufacturing Cloud) at Siemens Energy, your day will start with meetings to align with key stakeholders on project priorities. You will oversee the development and implementation of MES solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives and enhance operational efficiency. This includes defining and extending project scope, creating schedules, and managing the rollout in our factories.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the new MES (SAP DM), troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless system performance. Reviewing and accepting product increments, resolving escalations, and providing expert guidance on MES best practices will be part of your daily tasks. Regular reporting on project progress and KPIs will ensure transparency and alignment with business goals.

Additionally, you will guide the Organizational Change Management (OCM) to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of the new system and new processes in our company. You will contribute to the harmonization of the IT landscape at Siemens Energy and by the end of the day, have advanced our manufacturing digitalization journey, keeping Siemens Energy at the forefront of innovation and efficiency.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Overall responsibility for all Business-related topics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategy
  • Define scope and project schedule/roadmap, including release planning, to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Resolve escalations and ensure smooth project execution, escalating unsolved issues to your Project Sponsors and the Steering Committee (SteCo) when necessary
  • Manage and prioritize requirements and expectations of key business stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong relationships
  • Deliver on Business scope and budget of the project, and report on overall program KPIs with a focus on Business, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of Siemens Energy
  • Direct impact of the efficiency and innovation of our manufacturing digitalization journey, helping Siemens Energy to maintain its leadership in the energy sector


What You Bring

  • Master's degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, with a specialization in Production Management or Production Technology
  • Proven experience in leading global, multinational, and cross-functional teams across different time zones, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills. Adept at fostering an inclusive environment, ensuring seamless communication, and promoting professional growth and development within the team
  • Long-term experience in leading, and coaching projects, showcasing the ability to manage complex projects and guide teams to success
  • Deep understanding and long-term hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and, highly desirable, SAP DM (Digital Manufacturing Cloud), including their integration and implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial manufacturing technologies and their software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in relevant software and tools, including SAP DM, other MES systems, MS Office, Tableau, JIRA, CNC Software, and PLM Software
  • Fluent German and English
