Our Cloud Enablement team provides a set of cloud foundations solutions that are well architected, standardized, reproducible, secure, and cost optimized.

Tasks & responsibilities
- As a Functional Architect in IT INF, you will lead the implementation of the IT Cloud Strategy in driving our cloud frameworks to the next maturity level.
- Develop and implement strategies to identify cost-saving opportunities and to optimize cloud costs.
- Work closely with management and Finance & Controlling on budgeting and showback/chargeback activities.
- Lead Cloud Competence Center (CCC) virtual team of cross-functional IT members to implement and foster a Cloud Smart Strategy and associated frameworks:
- Cloud Architecture - comprehensive architectural target picture of the strategic cloud use
- Business Case - guidelines for the analysis of the business case for cloud
- Cloud Migration - definition, coordination, and determination of migration solutions
- Cloud Compliance & Security - guidelines, operations, and best practices
- Financial Operations (FinOps) - cloud financial governance and best practices
- Cloud Roles & Capabilities - cloud-based roles, capabilities, and skills
- Operation & Support - cloud-focused operating and support model
- Work closely with cross-functional IT architects on roadmaps to achieve target architectures.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate trends in the IT market in cooperation with internal and external experts to derive strategy recommendations for current and future IT projects.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science / engineering or comparable scientific degree, several years of professional experience in developing Cloud solutions, using state-of-the-art technologies like Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS Cloud Formation or AZURE Resource Templates.
- Experience in using tools like Apptio Cloudability to manage and analyze cloud spending.
- Ability to strategize implementation and proactively develop innovative concepts and ideas for cloud computing.
- Ability to plan and execute cloud strategies effectively.
- Strong understanding of cloud technology and cost models, financial management principles, and data analysis.
- Professional experience and know how in Automation, IaC, CI/CD, Azure & AWS.
- Knowledge in related aspects of IT security, operations and support.
- Preferably practical experience in IT cloud architecture, solution assessment/design for digital products and use cases.
- In-depth knowledge and profound understanding of different IT deployment alternatives (on premise, cloud, hybrid) and the various migration approaches.
- Fluent command of German and English; other languages considered a plus.
