RESPONSIBILITIES
Within our Trade Compliance Operations Team you will support our experts in the global implementation of increasingly complex trade restrictions with a focus on embargoes sanctions and risk assessment. Together with the responsible specialist unit, you will set up services for addressing embargoes and sanctions. You will implement the legal requirements in BASF's operational processes. Together with BASF's Group companies, you will ensure that business processes regarding embargoes and sanctions run as smoothly as possible in day-to-day business.
- You are responsible for the detailed analysis for a comprehensive trade compliance risk profile which covers all kind of goods exchange processes as well as the effective communication of trade compliance impact to the service recipients.
- The establishment of appropriate measures, tools and processes to manage this risk for all trade compliance in accordance with BASF’s standards and relevant national and international regulatory frameworks are also your responsibility.
- The respective management of change and audit support activities is also a part of your work.
- In addition you assist with the migration of the trade compliance module from R3 to S/4HANA, which includes user acceptance testing, troubleshooting and gap analysis of system capabilities.
- The support of the embargo and sanctions programme through the evaluation of contracts, documentation, impact analysis and communication strategy rounds of the range of tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- degree in chemistry, natural sciences, foreign trade or customs
- at least three years of professional experience in the field of regulatory compliance
- solid understanding of technical regulatory processes
- practical experience in technology transfer, foreign trade laws, chemical conventions, supply chain, embargo compliance, extraterritorial trade compliance
- familiar with power automate, Power BI, SAP R3 and S/4HANA
- strong cummunication skills in English, Chinese is a plus
