Global Healthcare Operations is responsible for CMC development, manufacturing (Pharma as well as Biotech), supply and quality of Merck's Biotech and pharmaceutical medicines as well as medical devices. Today GHO has 20 development and manufacturing sites, 60 subsidiaries and around 100 CMO partners across the globe.

At GOglobal, you will follow a 24-month individual rotation plan, gain international experience, and receive exposure to the business as well as visibility to senior management. You will be provided with an environment fostering personal and professional growth, as well as great networking opportunities to continuously improve your technical expertise and business acumen.
Your role:
During the 2-year program, you will get to know the multiple aspects of Global Healthcare Operations (e.g., Internal & External Operations, Quality oversight for commercial products, Product Performance, Continuous Improvements to drive compliance and business needs) to prepare you for a future career in operations. Your individual rotation plan will cover three different assignments. The first one will be at our home base in Darmstadt, Germany, after this an international assignment to one of Manufacturing sites or subsidiaries and one back at our home base in Germany. These assignments will broaden your experience and deepen your perspective on the different functional scope and business areas within Global Healthcare Operations.
Who you are:
- Master's or PhD degree in natural science, business administration, engineering, or related fields
- International experience preferred but not essential
- Practical experience via internships, preferably within Manufacturing, Quality and/or Good Manufacturing Practices is advantageous but not required
- Highly motivated and passionate for discovering solutions to challenging problems
- Excellent organizational skills including analytical thinking and ability to balance several on-going projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with working in an international and multi-cultural matrix organization
- A strong ability to analyze data, negotiate, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Fluent in English (German or other languages as a plus)
The position is limited to two years.
