The Position

This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various departments, including our newly established Development Biologicals Digital Portfolio Team, IT, and Quality. Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role you will lead the Lab IT Support function and Automation for Pharmaceutical Development Biologicals and you will represent and support this function in audits and self-inspections.
• You will be responsible for the proactive improvement of the existing IT infrastructure and processes according to the required quality and business requirements.
• Furthermore, you will oversee lab support, particularly in terms of instrument integration to PS LIMS and you will lead the advancement of automation application and technology in PDB, ensuring high professional standards in all aspects.
• You will have the technical responsibility for data integrity and records retention standards in the department and you will manage the coordination with interfaces within the organization.
• In addition, you will implement standards in data management as well as guidelines and regulations and you will represent the department in initiatives for department-wide quality standards and in regulatory inquiries, self-inspections, and audits.
• Not least, you will be responsible for the management, curation, and quality assurance of the electronic raw data and data in PS-LIMS/Biobase of the department.

Requirements

• PhD in natural sciences, pharmaceuticals, or engineering with several years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in the industrial development of biological drugs including extensive professional experience in lab digitalization and automation as well as in project management, especially in matrix function, or personnel management; international experience is advantageous
• Strategic mindset and basic knowledge of the business market, with focus on scientific and technological aspects, particularly in the fields of digitalization and automation
• Excellent leadership skills paired with distinct and adapted communicative skills, in various internal and external contexts
• Very independent, well-founded, and responsible way of working, solution-oriented thinking, and flexibility towards changes including a visionary mindset
• Team player with very high initiative, social competence, and decision orientation
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English
