A Snapshot of Your Day
In the dynamic environment of Siemens Energy, your day is centered around expertly managing our software assets to optimize functionality and compliance. As a leader, you'll steer about 15 professionals towards excellence in License Management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative success. You'll provide both technical and user support, ensuring seamless operations across our managed licenses. Your focus will be on maintaining the integrity of software and hardware assets, managing licenses, and delivering insightful reports for strategic asset optimization. You'll also be the go-to person for guiding the license procurement process and ensuring adherence to compliance standards for software utilization.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage and ensure adherence to all terms for licenses, providing both 2nd and 3rd level internal support for software asset queries, while assisting end-users with licensing issues for designated products
- Oversee software asset quality, including data related to software and hardware assets, commercial, and organizational aspects, and execute software removal communications as needed
- Handle on-demand software and license key provisioning, manage user license portals, and deliver regular and ad-hoc Software Asset Management (SAM) reports, contributing to effective license usage and optimization
- Govern procurement process, support asset owners with inventory setup instructions, and ensure compliance for off-the-shelf and open-source software utilization within Siemens Energy.
- Professional leadership for provider and partner management to develop and grow a distributed team of ~15 License Management professionals
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering and/or IT/Computer Sciences, or related degree
- Proven leadership experience and solid understanding (7+ years) in software asset and license management, with a curiosity about providing both technical support and user assistance
- Strong organizational skills to oversee software asset integrity, manage data, and communicate software removal effectively
- Proficiency in software and license provisioning, with the ability to produce detailed SAM reports for license optimization
- Experience in leading license procurement processes, providing inventory setup mentorship, and ensuring compliance in software utilization
- Leadership capabilities to manage and develop a global team, with a focus on fostering professional relationships with providers and partners
- Ability to work and navigate in a complex and international environment with many interfaces and ability to travel
- Excellent written and spoken English
