The Corporate Center is the headquarters of the Bertelsmann Executive Board. It coordinates all of the Group's business activities and performs numerous Group functions such as defining and developing the Group's strategy, capital allocation, financing and management development, as well as other key tasks in the areas of legal, human resources, communications and information technology, among others.

 

The Corporate Management Development Team based at the Corporate Center in Gütersloh is responsible for group-wide talent management and related projects aimed at future-proofing the organization. The goal is to identify internal talents with future-relevant skills at Bertelsmann, develop them through targeted development and learning initiatives, and thus ensure the internal succession of key positions in the medium and long term.

 

What to expect

 

  • Conceptual design and revision of training and communication materials to support the implementation of revised HR tools and processes (e.g. for Performance Evaluation)
  • Responsibility for projects within the framework of Future-Proof Leadership and Talent Pools: from concept through project management to implementation
    • Preparation of documents, presentations, as well as research insights
    • Support in designing, organizing, and implementing group-wide development initiatives in our talent pools
    • Collaboration with national and international HR colleagues across Bertelsmann

 

What you bring to the table

 

  • Advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s study course in psychology, business, or communication sciences
  • Ideally initial practical experience in HR management or related professional areas (preferably in personnel development or talent management)
  • High level of organizational talent and teamwork ability
  • Quick comprehension, high willingness to learn, and initiative
  • Strong self-reflection and enjoyment of project-oriented work
  • Attention to detail and a structured work style
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
