Intern within Numerical Simulation Engineer (d/f/m)

Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Investigate usage of Artificial Intelligence to generate Python scripts automating finite element model creation

Provide guidelines to assess Python scripts quality and evaluate if it can be used in industry

Develop a prototype based on a Python script generating simple structure (eg stiffened panel)

Use Uncertainty Quantification & Management (eg. Design of Experiment) Approach to estimate numerical uncertainties in a simple structure analysis

Add to prototype Uncertainty Quantification Management feature (as Python script) to automate analysis
Desired skills and qualifications

Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

First practical experience in the field of Simulation of the structure behavior using Finite Element Model (FEM) codes, FEM Verification and Validation and programming (Python preferred) are mandatory.

Fluent English

You are an autonomous student, a team player as well as a good communicator (d/f/m)

You are eager to learn with an academic mindset
