Junior Innovation Manager (d/f/m)

The role of the Digital innovation team is to accompany all teams within the Digital function in increasing their innovation practices, as part of the end of end lifecycle manager of their products/services.

We are looking for a junior profile, eager to kick start their career by sharing & applying knowledge on digital technologies in a corporate context. The junior innovation manager will contribute to the acculturation of teams on emerging technologies while applying proven innovation practices to generate business value.

In this role you will work with a team of experienced innovation managers to collectively service the Digital department of Airbus.

 

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Identifying ways to spread the digital culture & knowledge on identified technologies on which Airbus is investing in and contribute to the acculturation of the digital teams. 

  • Supporting innovation coaching activities, together with a senior team member to upskill teams in their innovation practices 

  • Supporting & accelerating promising innovation use cases from pain point identification, to solution design, POC and possible integration in the Airbus digital landscape, taking into account customer centricity & change management aspects.

  • Supporting the development of the digital capabilities as defined by Airbus: working closely with expert teams on emerging technologies to remove blockers & accelerate their development in the organization: definition of vision & strategy, alignment talent & culture strategies , mutualise of use cases & ressources, etc

  • Learning about the innovation & digital ecosystem, in Airbus and outside. You will actively take part in them and learn how to connect needs to specific ressources from these ecosystem and generate opportunities.

  • Supporting the continuous improvements of standards documents & ressources to equip team

 

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Information Management or Innovation.

  • Initial experience as a trainee in the field of innovation, ideally in a digital environment.

  • Skills in project management in a digital environment

  • Strong customer centricity applied to innovation, experience of associated methodologies (design thinking)

  • Ability to easily integrate a new environment, create connections & opportunities for collaboration.

  • Interest in working within an international context.

  • Open-minded and able to easily connect with others.

  • Fluent in English, basic knowledge of German would be an advantage
