How You'll Make an Impact
The Large Gas Turbine Master Engineer supports teams and the organization dealing with multi-disciplinary design and system problems in new product development, or in resolving similar multi-dimensional technical issues as they emerge during operation. Your more general expertise will be used in taking a holistic view of problems, applying systems and critical thinking skills.
- You collaborate within established cross-product communities and drive global sharing of lessons learned and knowledge
- You collaborate across disciplines to develop innovative solutions
- Through regular assessment of existing service fleet experience and applying field feedback you will bring real world experience to design teams
- You support the organization as a Key Contact for Management for the respective discipline with regard to technical topics
- You are consultant for the organization
- You steer the skillset in the Organization according to business needs
- You have global technical responsibility for your discipline e. g. participation in gate decisions, project reviews, or audits
- You review & consult with Component / Technology Owners in helping to maintain their Procedures and Philosophies to reflect fleet experience and the interactive system nature of gas turbines
- You are a mentor / coach in high profile R&D projects
What You Bring
The position requires a highly experienced individual (15 - 20 years experience) with several years spent with Siemens Energy products. A broad knowledge of the gas turbine industry is desired. You should possess a strong technical background in gas turbine component design, manufacturing, testing and commercial operation across a range of gas turbine applications. In addition, you should possess strong skills in program management and technical management. You should be experienced in reviewing the work of others and be capable of leading high level engineers through the development of complex projects with successful results. Experience in failure investigation and root cause analysis is also desirable. A leadership track record working on major programs supporting integrated product development from concept phase, through verification testing, to final commercial acceptance is desired. You should have strong presentation skills and will be required to interface with both internal and external customers related to technical designs and technical issues.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
