In this position you will drive and develop design solutions and maintain the reference in multi- functional development programs for your system/product.
You set the technical backbone, that our global acting project execution teams are starting with an excellent and cost optimized design solution, thus ensuring successful project outcomes.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Development and design of heat exchangers in the area of gas turbines, generators and related auxiliaries with focus on Fin Fan cooler types
- Basic design, reference specifications, technical reviews, maintenance of design documents for your system
- Grow and develop in the system of exhaust gas diffuser, stack and diverter damper
- Represent Mechanical Systems in development programs of thermal energy storage systems as well as component integration in green and brownfields during project execution
- Ensure that the department related R&D programs are achieved in terms of schedule, budget and report it to peers and collaborators
- Play an active role for cost out measures and development of ideas
- Technical evaluation and qualification of alternative global acting suppliers
- Technical support of internal teams in new plant business, proposal /sales and service as well as other partners and customers outside the organization
What You Bring
- Degree (Bachelor/Master) in Mechanical/Process Engineering or similar engineering disciplines with longstanding professional experience in powerplant business
- Knowledge of heat exchangers technologies and the related codes and international standards preferred
- Experience in one of the following auxiliary systems beneficial: exhaust gas diffuser, acoustic enclosure and ventilation, fire detection and extinguishing
- Deep understanding of project execution and development, creating technical specs and quality control
- Highly motivated to challenge the status quo and think out of the box to develop new ideas and to optimize the technical design in a way that actively contributes to the success and competitiveness of Siemens Energy
- Fluent English language skills, German (good to have),Willingness to travel (domestic and international about 10%)

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
