The Team – your impact
Within E.ON’s global IT function, we develop and govern E.ON’s digital technology strategy and ensure that the DT landscape is aligned with E.ONs business goals and strategy.
You are part of the Engineering Office. An interdisciplinary team that supports our engineering chapters and governs engineering practices across E.ON by working on overarching and strategic topics that shape how we build our products – now and in the future.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
Define architectural standards and blueprints to achieve business objectives and to drive solution architecture design and analysis work in the area of platform engineering and GitOps
Permanently analyze and test new and innovative technologies for platform engineering, DevOps and GitOps
Create guidance in written and verbal form that teaches our teams how to build great products by employing state-of-the-art practices and technologies
Create and govern architectural guidelines for platform engineering to minimize risk exposure and maximize value
Assess strategic IT demands in collaboration with the top management targeted platform engineering
Interface with open source communities and product vendors to understand latest and upcoming product developments and underlying roadmaps
Mentor teams and individuals to build great products
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Profound experience software development, DevOps and SRE practices
Extensive knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem, including experience with Crossplane or ArgoCD
In-depth knowledge of Hyperscaler platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Strong mentoring skills
Willingness to engage with the internal and external engineering community
