A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Business Process Architect at Siemens Energy, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our product lifecycle processes. Your day is characterized by a variety of tasks and the pursuit of excellence in PLM strategy and implementation.

Your day usually begins with a strategic review of your agenda during a scrum meeting, where you prioritize tasks and outline your activities.

Afterwards you will specify the new configuration management process and document functional requirements for an IT implementation. Your expertise will be pivotal in bridging the gap between process needs and technological capabilities.

As the day progresses, you will engage in collaborative discussions with the IT architect to review and refine new requirements for the release process. Your role is crucial in translating these requirements into actionable change requests for implementation. Additionally, you will evaluate the latest developments in document management process within Siemens Teamcenter, providing initial feedback on the requirement fit.

Your day ends with a comprehensive report to the overall project management team. Here, you will communicate the day's achievements and progress in PLM process architecture, ensuring transparency and alignment with our project goals.

In this role, you are not just a participant but a driving force in the evolution of PLM at Siemens Energy, ensuring that every product journey is as efficient and effective as possible.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • You will facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and under usage of "Siemens Teamcenter"
  • You communicate efficient with stakeholders: engineering and manufacturing teams, IT developments teams and with project management
  • You deliver requirements specifications to implementation teams, collaborate on its development, and ensure requirements are met. The main system for implementation is "Siemens Teamcenter"
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, analyze current processes, and define harmonized target processes
  • You design, develop, and implement efficient PLM business processes in relation to the main PLM-system "Siemens Teamcenter"
  • You ensure seamless integration and data exchange in processes with other enterprise systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management)


What You Bring

  • University studies in computer science, business informatics, mechanical engineering, or comparable education required
  • Long term professional experience in PLM business process and architecture consulting, including global introduction of engineering applications based on "Siemens Teamcenter"
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, including cross-cultural abilities
  • Proficient communication skills in English are required as well as the willingness to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and Scaled Agile Framework is preferred
  • Experience in project management and leading functional project teams
