As a Research Scientist - Antiparasitic Research in our Drug Discovery department, you will play a pivotal role in our research and development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead innovative antiparasitic research projects as subject matter expert
- Discover and evaluate innovative concepts and technologies to combat parasitic infections in animals
- Plan, lead and conduct antiparasitic in vitro and in vivo programs to develop the next generation of antiparasitic agents
- Lead, develop, and motivate colleagues in drug discovery projects
- Participate in scientific communication in a global R&D organization
Qualifications
PhD in veterinary parasitology or doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) with a proven track-record in parasitology;
Specialist in parasitology (e.g. "Fachtierarzt für Parasitologie" or EVPC diplomate) preferred
Your profile
- Experience in veterinary parasitology
- Experience in pharmacology/biochemistry preferred
- Expertise of parasitic in-vitro assay technologies preferred
- Expertise in parasitic rodent models preferred
- Several years work experience in drug discovery and / or pharmaceutical research
- Track record on scientific publications and presentations
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
- Good command of German language
- Effective time management, and organizational skills, problem solving skills
- High sense of accountability / urgency. Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and presentation), as well as the ability to collaborate in a team environment are required.
- FELASA certificate beneficial
