Your role:

The Advanced Cell Culture Technology team focuses on developing new raw materials for cell culture media used to produce recombinant proteins and vaccines. We are currently seeking a highly motivated scientist to lead our raw material development projects.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead technology transfer projects or projects aiming at developing specific innovative raw materials for upstream bioprocessing
• Develop, perform and analyze cell culture experiments aiming at understanding the impact of specific media components on the process performance.
• Integrate new technologies into current platform to further improve the quality and speed of development.
• Represent our advanced cell culture technology team in cross-functional project teams including production, marketing, quality control and quality assurance
• Write comprehensive reports summarizing project results.

The position is limited to two years.

Who you are:

• PhD in chemistry or biotechnology or MSc in chemistry or biotechnology and minimum 3 years experience in biotechnology
• Experience in cell culture medium development using CHO-based systems in fed-batch or perfusion
• Ability to apply statistical designs, perform statistical analysis and use MVDA to analyze moderately complex datasets.
• Ability to develop and validate new analytical methods independently.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong skills in critical thinking, laboratory experimentation and data analysis. Ability to multitask and maintain organized data systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in team environment
• Fluency in English (oral & written). German is a plus.
