Senior Consultant (f/m/d) Network Studies
A Snapshot of Your Day
In your new role as a Senior Consultant (f/m/d) Network Studies you will carry out and lead technical studies related to grid connection of our products, systems, and solutions. You will brainstorm with experienced colleagues for developing new solutions for renewable grids and upcoming decarbonization. To grow our business, you will be actively involved in pre-acquisition and sales activities. You will enlighten the Siemens Energy customer about our products benefits in grid stability and developing the grid of the future.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Responsibility for execution and project management of studies for analysis of electrical power systems, network planning and grid development
- Supporting our business units in business development activities by presenting the capabilities of our products and solutions to existing and prospective clients
- Coordinating and aligning engineers from different technical groups and virtual teams within a multi-cultural environment
- Strengthening and growing contacts to our customers worldwide and managing customer relationships
- Integration of power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, etc. into AC grids (conceptual studies, feasibility studies, tender studies, project execution)
- Coordination of external partners and sub suppliers
What You Bring
- University degree in electrical power engineering (master or PhD degree) with relevant professional experience
- Long-term experience in power system analysis in generation, transmission and distribution systems
- Sophisticated skills in the field of high voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics, renewable generation, power system planning and development, power system transients.
- Solid knowledge of typical power system simulation programs (e.g. PSS/E, PowerFactory, NETOMAC, PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink)
- Good communication skills in business- fluent in English, German is a plus
- Good presentation skills to represent Siemens Energy to our customers, working groups and conferences
- Initiative, creativity, analytic and strategic thinking, teamwork, customer orientation and intercultural teams characterize your preferred working environment
