(Senior) International Product Manager

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a (Senior) International Product Manager (IPM) for our Therapeutic Areas CardioMetabolism & Respiratory. This pivotal role will drive forward complex marketing workstreams, collaborate with key Operational Units (OPUs), and lead external agencies to achieve our ambitious goals of improving outcomes for people living with interconnected cardio-renal-metabolic conditions.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As a (Senior) IPM, you will work closely with Regions/OPUs to define and execute customer insight-driven strategies, capturing critical insights and supporting local adaptation and implementation of brand strategies.
  • You also have the opportunity to serve as the Brand Team Representative at key events across the Therapeutic Areas and the Regions/OPUs.
  • You will apply digital and direct channels effectively in the context of the marketing funnel (awareness, conversion, loyalty) and utilize data and insights to determine the optimal channel mix.
  • You will coordinate activities with internal partners and 3rd parties/partnerships to drive alignment and support the effective implementation of marketing plans and you will build expertise, recommending novel media and digital partnerships to enhance marketing strategies and customer engagement at corporate as well as on local levels.
  • You will provide input into the Global Brand strategy, ensuring input from key stakeholders and OPUs to validate and optimize brand strategies and tactics and communicate those to to internal stakeholders.
  • You will develop marketing programs in compliance with BI policies and Global regulations. You will support MLR in understanding new channels, data, and capabilities, being perceived as a partner in driving the evolution of tactics and strategies.

Additional tasks and responsibilities for the Senior role:

  • You will work with cross-functional teams and thrive in a competitive environment, managing interdepartmental and cross-company interfaces to ensure smooth collaboration and communication.
  • You will work independently when required, with minimal guidance, determining your own priorities, projects and monitoring resources within your work.
  • You will demonstrate a high level of comfort and autonomy for strategic decision-making, specifically during situations where not all facts may be available.
  • Therefore, you show the ability to lead larger project team through abstract problem-solving and challenges of ambiguity or uncertainty.
  • You will drive analysis of the latest market trends and generate insights from available sources, including competitor and customer behavior, as well as product and market performance.

Requirements

  • Possess an advanced degree, preferably a PhD, Master`s of Science or of Business Administration
  • Significant experience in marketing with a demonstrate strong background in customer experience management and digital Marketing, content management and digital development processes
  • Specific experience with Search, Display, Paid Social, Content Marketing, and data-sourced/programmatic media strategies
  • Knowledge of customer data and digital norms in various countries
  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems, sales force strategies, media, and Rep orchestration concepts
  • Ability to work as part of a matrix team within Corporate

For the Senior Role you additionally have:

  • Extensive experience in marketing, including a strong background in customer experience management and/or digital marketing beneficial in OPU/Regional marketing experience
  • Experiences in setting up Marketing strategies and tactics for supporting Global Brand sales for key countries
  • Commercial leadership knowledge special for new asset development to ensure optimal launch success
