Team Lead (f/m/d) Climate Action
A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of the dynamic Siemens Energy Sustainability team, you will make an important contribution to the energy transition by synchronizing climate action and corporate strategy. In your role, you will experience varied workdays. For example, you could start your day with your team and discuss the priorities for the coming days before virtually prepare a board decision on climate targets. In the afternoon you might evaluate options to track our CO2 footprint in the value chain with experts from across the organization. You can flexibly organize your working hours and work both on-site as well as remote.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead the corporate climate action team which is responsible for developing and implementing of climate action strategies
- Leading strategic global climate transition projects
- Governing the company-wide climate strategy and targets as well as climate-related risk management and policies
- Driving our Climate Neutral Program to ensure climate neutrality in own operations by 2030
- Driving or contributing to strategic projects aiming to integrate carbon emissions as well as broader ESG considerations into operations
- Governing the ESG Due Diligence and perform project due diligences
- Delivering on climate-related disclosures (e.g., CSRD, CDP etc.)
- Consulting and engaging with internal and external stakeholders on climate-related matters as global center of competence
What You Bring
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable field of study
- Passion for Sustainability with a special focus on Climate with more than 8 years professional experience in corporate strategy or consulting.
- Good knowledge on Greenhouse gas emission and the relevant sustainability concepts and reporting standards (e.g. SBTi, CDP, CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
- Proven track record in successful project management as well as good sense of humor
- Experience in leading teams also in a virtual and international environment and strong in supporting the individuals' development and enabling team members to show their best performance
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across hierarchies
- Fluent in English, German language skills would be a plus
